The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

1930 Chevrolet Flat Bed Truck

My first comment would be, fit some sides on the tray, but on the other hand it may be one of the best and most thorough truck restorations I have seen. Have a look at the attention to detail that has been applied in and under this Chev. The closest thing I can see resembling a job requiring attention is a possible exhaust gasket leak on the 2 inner ports.

This is a beautiful 1930 Chevrolet truck. It was completely restored nut and bolt at no expense spared. It runs great. Starts great. Body and paint are some of the best I have seen. Glass is perfect. Wheels and tires are perfect. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better one.
