The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Fine example of a 1935 Chev

Santa, I have been good all year, sorry just dreaming.

Wouldn't this gem look great in you garage, shed, collection or where ever.

Stumbled across this on Ebay

The description reads:

The previous owner of this beautiful Chevy had owned the car for five years. He used it in his own wedding and has won numerous trophies at local and national car shows. The professional, frame-off restoration was done in the 1980’s. Everything was done to factory specifications and is mostly original. The car has never seen rain or snow since the restoration and has always been garage kept and babied. The car has a total of 86,000 miles, but just 5,000 miles since the restoration.
