The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

28 Chev Roadster for Sale

Found this on Ebay, looks like the body and upholstery has been done and mechanically unrestored.

For sale - 1928 Chevy AB Roadster. This vehicle was purchased out of California and brought to NC. This car drives well with a top speed of approx. 40 miles per hour. The 4 cylinder and 3 speed transmission work well as do the mechanical brakes. The car is clean with no rust. It is a 6V system with an electric fuel pump. Gauges are in the dash but only the amp meter is working. Speedo/Spark are intact but not operational. Stop/Tail/Horn all work. Headlights have been changed to correct rebuilt Chevy items but they aren't fully wired to the switch. It is something that could easily be completed. There is no top to the roadster.

This roadster is a blast to drive and will make a nice addition to your collection. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Also the car is sold as is where is. I will help load the vehicle but the buyer is responsible for all shipping expenses. Thanks for your consideration.
