The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Club Run to the Klower Collection and nearby Restoration Shop

The weather was terrible, but the day was great.

This is the second time the DVHCC http://www.dvhcc.com.au/ has visited the Klower collection and the restoration shop nearby. A tour of the cars and the restoration shop was followed by a great lunch put on by our host.

The attention to detail of the restoration of these cars is amazing. Such attention to detail.

Plenty of pictures of the day, starting with the meeting point, the outbound service center at the foot of the Westgate Bridge.

Some great cars at the Klower Collection

The restoration shop nearby was as impressive as last time, if not more. The attention to detail, and the amount of work done to rebuild these cars as good as new is amazing.

In some cases they remake rather than repair a rusty or damaged panel.

Rusty floor for a Jag, no problem, make a new one
