The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

A Great Looking 1928 Chev Sedan of Shane Watson from the USA

I have been exchanging a few emails with Shane, who has just sent me a few photos of his Chev

The interior was done some time in the late 70's, and Shane plans to eventually repaint the car in a stock color.

The Chev came from a car collection in Oklahoma, and barely ran when he got it home.

Shane thinks the Chev has always been a driver and never really been apart.

Shane has recently done a great after market oil filter setup that fits into the stock location with only a slight modification.

A Trans Dapt remote oil filter bracket with the mounting tab cut off and a Fram PH8A filter for a Dodge truck painted black.

All the best with you Chevy Shane.
