The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

A couple of matching Aussie 28 Chev Tourers for sale in New South Wales

Found this on Ebay, would make a nice career sea change.

This Holden bodied Chevrolet was billed as the 'bigger, better and more beautiful' Chev and won immediate public approval when launched in 1928. Standard inclusions were 4 wheel brakes and a strengthened chassis and a dual action shock absorber. It had a inline OHV 4 cylinder engine 21.7hp, 171cu.in and the old Chev's were known for their durability.

This particular car has been lovingly restored and has a wonderful colour combination, the paint was done professionally and is a high quality 2 pac paint. This Chev has had 2 improvements that need to be noted; it has been converted from 6 volt to now 12 volt and has an electric fuel pump doing away with the older vacuum tank system. This vehicle has been very reliable and has started first time, every time whilst in my possession. It comes complete with the hood and side curtains and luggage trunk. I have 2 of these vehicles for sale, both were restored at the same time for the purpose of using them for weddings. I am willing to separate them as priced in this ad but I would like to see these 2 vehicles go to the same home.

Asking $17,950 per car (would take $34,000 for the pair)
Due to the large number of email scams I will only respond to emails that include a full name and working contact number. Text messages will not be responded too.
