The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

Day 5 - 28 Chev Ute Restoration (2nd May 2015)

A great deal of progress toady, the 28 ute is now in bits, and getting closer to the start of the restoration process.

Todays pictures are below

Out comes the Engine and transmission


Tucked away in the corner to be looked at a bit down the track.


Looking very bare here little 28 ute


This photo shows the extent of a vintage crash and a not so pretty repair


The chassis will be restored over the next few weeks


Front suspension will be stripped tomorrow.


As will the rear suspension.
