The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Update on Sam and Donna's 28 Chev Roadster

The Red Chev did a 120 k round trip today, to catch up with Sam , who is just about to pull off the body to have the final top coat applied to his 28 Roadster after driving it in primer while he sorted out all the bugs.

However......... Since I last caught up with Sam he has picked up a great 29 tourer.

Sam has stripped the 28 ready to pull of the body for painting.

Previous update on Sam's 28 Roadster August 5th 2015

I received a few pictures over the weekend, Sam is making good progress and went for the first test drive.

First Posting June 29th 2015

(Since this posting Sam has sold the 28 truck)

I received an email from Sam with some great pictures of his Chev truck and 28 Roadster. The truck looks great and by the look of the roadster it will be a beautiful example when its finished.

Thanks for the photos Sam and good luck with your restoration.
